The ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 VoLTE update is here in the form of a FOTA (Firmware Over-The-Air). By the way, the VoLTE update is not the official name for the update. We are only calling it so, because it is the key feature in the new firmware.

This happens to be the second major update for the budget friendly specced out monster, with the first update being the one which enabled Face Unlock on the Max Pro M1.

What’s new in the ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1 VoLTE update.

As the company had promised during the launch, it has updated the Max Pro M1 with support for VoLTE (Voice over LTE), for Vodafone, Airtel and Idea. It is worth noting that Reliance Jio has been working out of the box since the device was released. The new update also brings the May 2018 Android Security Patch from Google, to the Zenfone Max Pro M1.

One of the biggest complaints with the Max Pro M1, was that the fingerprint sensor was noticably slow, when unlocking the device. This issue has been addressed in the new update. The firmware also improves the performance of the front camera on the Zenfone Max Pro M1.

The update should be rolled out over the next few days for all users. But, you can manually check for the update on your device by navigating to Settings > System > System update.

Or, if you cannot wait for the update to arrive, you can download the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 Update from the company’s official Google Drive folder.

The update file named, is about 1.4GB in size. Just download the file and place it in the main directory of the internal storage, and your phone should recognize that a new update is available, and prompt you to install it.
