The ASUS Zenfone Max Pro India launch date is set for April 23rd, the company says in a press release sent to us. The Taiwan based electronics giant has also entered a long term partnership with Flipkart in India.
So, no prizes for guessing where the ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1 will be available online. The company did not reveal much other than the launch date, and the processor of the phone, which is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset.
ASUS launched a similar named phone called the ASUS Zenfone Max Plus M1 in Malaysia last December, so will the ASUS Zenfone Max Pro India version be similar? Considering that the Plus version has the now outdated 16:9 aspect ratio, we hope not.
The Zenfone Max Pro is powered by the same processor that is on the Zenfone 5, which was announced at MWC 2018. This common factor happens to be a first for the Zenfone Max series. So, it is more likely that the Zenfone Max Pro resembles the Zenfone 5. Let’s do a recap of the Zenfone 5 tech specs:
The Zenfone 5 sports a 6.2-inch Full HD+ All-Screen LCD display with a notch at the top, a 90% screen to body ratio, 2246 x 1080 pixels resolution. The device has 4GB/6GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage, and a fingerprint scanner on the back panel, and supports face unlock using the front camera.
The device sports dual cameras, with a 12 megapixels primary lens with a Sony IMX 363 sensor, 1.4µm pixel size, an f/1.8 wide aperture, and a secondary 8 megapixels camera with a 120° wide-angle lens, which support 4-axis OIS (optical image stabilization).
The Zenfone Max series of phones are renowned for packing a big battery, so the Zenfone Max Pro will no doubt carry its trademark feature.
We will know for certain, when the ASUS Zenfone Max Pro make its world debut in India, next Monday.
