The ASUS Zenfone Max Pro has officially been launched in India today. The device features a 5.99-inch Full View display (with an 18:9 aspect ratio) with 1500:1 contrast ratio, 85% ntsc color gamut, and 450 nits brightness.

The phone has a metal back with a 2.5d arc glass for the front panel. The Max Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, with 3/GB4GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 32/64GB of internal storage.

The Zenfone Max Pro M1 runs on Pure Android Oreo 8.0, stock Android. ASUS has promised to update the Zenfone Max Pro to Android P and Android Q, when they are released by Google.

The phone is backed by a massive 5,000 mAh battery which supports fast charging over 10W, and can charge to 100% in 2 hours and 42 minutes.

The selfie lens on the Zenfone Max Pro is an 8 megapixels front camera, while the main photography hardware comprise of a 13 MP primary camera, aided by a 5 megapixel depth sensor secondary camera with support for bokeh mode.. There is a fingerprint sensor on the back panel of the device, and the Zenfone Max Pro M1 does support Face Unlocking too.

The phone has a 5-magnet speaker with an NXP smart amplifier, for a quality audio experience, and yes the phone does have a 3.5mm headphone jack (and a micro USB Type Connector as seen in the picture below).

There is a free accessory called the MaxBox, which supports immersive audio by boosting the volume by 2X. The MaxBox is included for free with the Zenfone Max Pro. The phone has a triple card slot, which supports 2 SIM cards and a micro SD card slot at the same time.

The ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1 has been priced at Rs. 10,999 in India, for the 3GB RAM variant, while the and will be sold exclusively via Flipkart from May 3rd. Rs. 10,999. The 4GB Zenfone Max Pro price is Rs. 12,999.

The phone will be available in  Midnight Black and Deepsea Grey (Silver) colours. A Zenfone Max Pro 6GB RAM variant with 64GB, 16MP selfie camera, and a 16MP + 5MP lens will be available soon for Rs. 14,999.

ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1 launch offers in India:

Launch deals include Rs. 3,200 offers from Vodafone, an extra Rs. 1,000 off over the exchange price of slect phones, and no cost EMI (12 months) on credit cards and Bajaj Finserve cards.

Flipkart is offering a no terms-and-conditions insurance policy called the Complete Mobile Protection, which covers broken screens, liquid damage, issues with the hardware and software, doorstep pickup and drop, guaranteed repair or replacement (within 10 days). The Flipkart Mobile Protection plan is being offered at a special introductory price of Rs. 49 (instead of the regular price Rs. 999)

Other offers for the phone from Vodafone includes 10GB extra data (for Rs. 199 prepaid plan and above, and for Red postpaid plan, Rs. 399 and above) every month for a year.  In addition to this, Post paid users on Rs. 499 plans and above, will get Vodafone Red Shield which is a device security insurance plan for 2 years.
