The Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus, and Moto G6 Play have officially been announced by Motorola, in Brazil. All three phones run on Android Oreo 8.0 with support for Moto Voice, Google Assistant, Moto Display, Moto Actions quick gestures such as one button nav, chop 2 times for flashlight, pick up to silence ringer, etc.
The phones have Max Vision displays with 18:9 aspect ratios.
The Moto G6 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor, with 3GB/4GB of RAM, and will be available in 32GB/64GB storage variants, with support for up to 128GB of expandable memory via a microSD card slot.
The phone sports a 5.7-inch Full HD+ IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and has a 3D glass back. The Moto G6 has a front placed fingerprint scanner which supports gestures, and also supports Face Unlock. Other scanners on the device include an accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light, proximity, magnetometer, ultrasonic.
The Moto G6 features dual rear cameras with a 12 megapixels lens and a 5 megapixels lens with an f/1.8 aperture. The selfie lens on the device is an 8 megapixels front camera. The phone is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery which supports TurboPower charging over USB-Type C.
Connectivity wise, the Moto G6 supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n 2.4 GHz + 5 GHz, Bluetooth technology 4.2 EDR & BLE, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, BEIDOU, 4G LTE, and Dual Nano-SIM cards. Audio capabilities of the Moto G6 includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack, 3 mics, Dolby Audio, FM Radio, a front port loud speaker. The phone measures 153.3 x 72.3 x 8.3 mm, and weighs 167g.
The Moto G6 has a P2i water repellant nano-coating. The phone will be available in Deep Indigo, Silver and Black colours. The Moto G6 has been priced at $249 (approximately Rs. 16,000).
Moto G6 Plus
The Moto G6 Plus is similar in terms of design with the G6. The only differences are the display, battery, and the processor on the device. The Moto G6 Plus is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor with 4GB/6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and packs a 3,200mAh battery. The display on the G6 Plus is slightly larger at 5.9-inches, which makes the device slightly taller at 160 x 75.5 x 8.0 mm, though it still weighs 167g.
The Moto G6 Plus is priced at €299 EUR, which is nearly Rs. 25,000. The device will be available in Deep Indigo and Nimbus colours.
Moto G6 Play
The Moto G6 Play is also quite similar to the G6, but is a a low end one. The G6 Play is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 427 processor with an Adreno 308 GPU, 2GB/3GB of RAM. The display on the Moto G6 Play is a 5.7 inch 720p HD+ IPS screen, and the device has a polymer glass back. The phone surprisingly uses a micro-USB port to charge the 4,000mAh battery. The G6 Play has a 5 megapixels front camera, and a single rear camera with a 13 megapixels lens with an f/2.0 aperture. Though the phone does not support Face Unlock, the Moto G6 Play still has a fingerprint scanner.
The Moto G6 Play is priced at $199 USD, and will be available in Deep Indigo and Flash gray colours.
All three devices are available in Brazil today and will be available in Mexico next week, and over the coming months in Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America and North America.
