The OnePlus 6 is coming soon to India. The company has begun promoting the launch of the device, on Amazon India’s webstore, where it will be sold exclusively.
Add to that the fact that the OnePlus 5T is currently out of stock in the Country, and you get the idea that the OnePlus 6 launch is imminent.
You can visit the registration page on Amazon, to sign up to be notified, when the OnePlus 6 is launched. There is a rather odd teaser video embedded in the page, which is captioned “Speed you need”, which hints that the OnePlus 6 will be a very speedy device.
Though, we think that this could be a hint about the camera’s shutter speed too. OnePlus isn’t exactly subtle when it comes to creating hype about its devices. So, we have no choice but to wait and watch for the device to be launched, to find out what exactly is the “speed” the company is referring to.
Speaking of which, word on the internet is that the OnePlus 6 will be launched on April 27th, to promote Marvel’s latest movie, Avengers: Infinity War. OnePlus has partnered with Marvel, just like it did with Disney, to launch a limited edition Star Wars themed phone last December, in India. So, it is possible that the OnePlus 6 could see a similar Avengers Infinity War themed phone, launched in our Country.
We know that the OnePlus 6 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, and that the phone will have a notch display, in the 18:9 form factor. And a recent leak suggests that the dual cameras on the phone will be placed vertically, with a fingerprint scanner right below the lenses.
The OnePlus 5 was sold for Rs. 32,999 in India, but early rumours suggest that the price of the OnePus 6 could well be beyond that, and close to the 40k mark. Hopefully OnePlus will keep the price the new device affordable.
