A new set of OnePlus 6 leaked hands on photos were posted on Chinese social network Baidu. And we gotta say, the phone does look pretty good.
The photos are quite blurry, but even so, we can see that the device has a nice tall display, thanks to the 18:9 aspect ratio. The notch does make the screen look even bigger, maybe that’s because of the minimal forehead bezel.
Speaking of bezels, the sides do look quite thick. It really makes the device look sub-par, and if you compare it with Samsung’s Galaxy S8 or S9, the phone will not stand a chance obviously. But if OnePlus 6 carries a $500 price tag, why not.
The rounded corners seen in the OnePlus 6 leaked hands on photos do look good, but what is the most surprising is the chin. It doesn’t look as bad as the company sounded it could be, when they defended the design on a sort of self-critical post at their forums.
Here is what the device looks next to the OnePlus 5T. That is a significant improvement, isn’t it?
The OnePlus 6 leaked hands on photos which Techtastic sourced from Baidu, also compare the OnePlus 6 with the iPhone X, and the notch on the latter looks too big. So, good job OnePlus?
Before you ask why include a notch at all, keep in mind the sensors which are in the notch. So, if the notch wasn’t there, the forehead would look bigger.
There is a headphone jack, and a USB port, and a speaker grille on the bottom of the device. And the rear panel houses the fingerprint sensor.
The OnePlus 6 will be officially launched on May 16th, so we only have about 2 weeks to wait for the real deal. Unless OnePlus really screws up with the pricing, everything we have seen so far seems to be good.
