Amazon Germany’s website jumped the gun and pulled the listing, but the OnePlus 6 price leak was inevitable. And of course, there were official renders of the phone.
The leak comes three days before the launch of the device. According to WinFuture, which managed to capture screenshots before the listing page was taken down by Amazon, the OnePlus 6 price will be €519 for the 64GB variant with 6GB of RAM, while the higher end variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage will retail for €569.
What do we do with the OnePlus 6 leak price? Converting it into Indian Rupees gives us Rs. 41,800 and Rs. 45,800 price tags. That seems insanely over-priced, except we are forgetting something. Devices in Europe tend to be more expensive (because of taxes), than in the U.S, and India.
(OnePlus 5T pricing for reference)
When the OnePlus 5T was launched it was priced at €499 (which is Rs. Rs. 40,000 or $597), but the device retailed for $499 (Rs. 34,000 in India). So, assuming that the Euros = Dollars pricing policy and the OnePlus 6 price leak, we think the actual price of the phone in India could be Rs 34,000 or $519 USD, with the higher variant priced at Rs. 38,000 and $569. That seems pretty reasonable, though it brings the price awfully close to the Samsung Galaxy S8
The leaked OnePlus 6 press renders from Amazon confirms that the previously leaked design by a case maker was accurate.
The OnePlus 6 has a tall display in the 18:9 aspect ratio, with a notch. The wallpaper may look cool, but if you observe closely, you can clearly see that OnePlus has tried to hide the chin of the OnePlus 6 by using dark colours. That is not a very nice thing to do, but companies do the same even for the bezels on the sides by applying a glossy effect. Anyway, OnePlus did already reveal that the device has a chin, and even explained why.
The OnePlus 6 sports dual rear cameras with a fingerprint sensor on the back panel. The report suggests that the phone will be available in Midnight Black and Mirror Black colours.
