The Samsung Galaxy On6 has been launched in India. The budget phone sports a 5.6-inch HD+ (1480 x 720 pixels) sAMOLED Infinity Display with an aspect ratio of 18:5:9, 293 PPI, and minimal bezels.
The phone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo, and is powered by an octa-core Exynos 7870 processor clocked at 1.6GHz with 4GB of RAM. It has 64GB of internal storage, and has a dedicated microSD card slot which supports up to 256GB of expandable storage. The GPU on the device is an ARM Mali T830 MP1.The phone has a Chat Over Video feature, which you can use to chat with your friends while watching videos.
The design of the phone is neither spectacular nor ugly. The only logo is on the rear panel, and the screen while not truly bezel-less seems to be good.
The Samsung Galaxy On6 features a 13MP camera with an f/1.9 aperture on the back panel, with an LED Flash and an 8MP selfie lens also with an LED Flash and an f/1.9 aperture. The cameras supports Action, Animated GIF, Beauty Face, Best Photo, Face Detection, Food, HDR (High Dynamic Range), Mirror Selfie, Panorama, Selfie, Sports modes.
The device has a fingerprint scanner on the rear, and supports Face Unlock using the front camera. The On6 is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery, and supports Dual Nano SIM cards, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi. The phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom. The phone weighs 153 g, and is 8.2 mm in terms of thickness. The dimensions of the device are: 149.3 x 70.2 x 8.2mm.
The Samsung Galaxy On6 has been priced at Rs. 14,490 in India, and will be sold via Flipkart and the Samsung online store from July 5th. The phone will be available in Black and Blue colours.
